About Me

I was raised in a small, tight knit community in Northeastern Pennsylvania by a family that served its community.  My Grandfather founded the volunteer fire company and the local branch of the US Post Office.  My parents served the local community’s basic needs, running a grocery store/gas station 12 hours a day, 363 days a year where I worked before and after school and summer throughout college.  My sister served others as a registered nurse for over 40 years and my brother spent 24 years protecting others as a county law enforcement official, retiring as a Captain with the Fairfax County Police Department.  My service came in the form of three decades in the United States Army as an Ordnance officer, retiring as a Colonel in 2009.  I now own a technology focused service-disabled, veteran-owned, small business in Stafford and my wife Tricia is a 30+ year career civil servant with DoD. For three generations, we know what it means to serve our country and community every day and for almost two decades, we are proud to call Stafford home.

What I Stand For

From an early age, my parents instilled a set of beliefs within me about how a person should behave and those beliefs were galvanized during my years of military service. How I will serve Stafford can best be described using the Army Values:

Loyalty – Bear true faith to ALL in Stafford County.

Duty -Fulfill my obligation to Stafford County as part of a team dedicated to its betterment.

Respect - Treat ALL people with the dignity they deserve and understand that we will not always agree.

Selfless Service – Put the welfare of Stafford County and its residents before my own.

Honor – Live, act and represent Stafford by my values and represent in every decision I make.

Integrity – Do what is right for Stafford, legally and morally.  Do or say nothing that deceives others.

Personal Courage – Do what is right for Stafford no matter the adversity or pressure to do otherwise.

Why me, Why now

Why me?

Every job that I have ever held has provided me numerous opportunities to develop skills that I know can benefit Stafford.  Whether it was learning from the daily struggles facing a small business growing up, to seeing the big picture while at the Pentagon or understanding the importance of the smallest details when responding to an emergency call as a member of an Army Bomb Squad or to today, dealing with budgets and contracts while running my own business.  These skills will transfer and serve us all well as your county supervisor.

Why now?

In today’s charged climate, people are told they must pick a side and somehow, one side is always right and the other side is always wrong.  That energy takes away from what is at the core of this campaign, Stafford County residents.  The best way to address the problems that face Stafford is together, as a team, working together.  Over the past 40 years, people have charged me with building teams, leading teams, and being a part of teams and it is through teamwork that we get things done and accomplish the mission.  Stafford County and Rock Hill need a supervisor that begins sentences with “we”, not “I”.
